A beautifully charming & classic Mooreland Mansion wedding day in Kirkland, Ohio. I am so unbelievably excited to share one of my favorite wedding days from 2024 with you! Think of that elegant, classic southern wedding you always see in bridal magazines but instead of being in South Carolina, it’s in the heart of Cleveland Ohio. This classic venue paired with Jenna’s hair and bridal gown made for one of my favorite bridal looks. I’m a huge fan of color but sometimes nothing beats the simplicity of neutrals/creams and green.
Jenna & Mitchell’s classic Mooreland Mansion wedding day started surrounded by their bridal party while they got ready. So much joy in each room! Once Jenna got in her dress, we began the first looks. Jenna chose to do a first look with her bridesmaids, her dad, and lastly, Mitchell. I love everyones reactions but her first look with her Dad was the one that got me teary eyed. Such a sweet moment!
After Jenna & Mitchell’s first look, we stayed in the gardens at Mooreland Mansion for their portraits. I loved the rose bushes that were in bloom. Then we gathered up the bridal party and family to finish up there portraits before heading to the church for the ceremony.
Their ceremony took place at St. Anselm Catholic Church and they had their families priest there to marry them. It was so special! After Jenna & Mitchell said “I do” their guests gathered outside for a bubble exit before heading back for cocktail hour.
One of my favorite parts of their day had to be their “just married”/sunset portraits. The light in front of the mansion was perfect for these glowy & bright portraits.
Another favorite detail of their venue is that cocktail hour and the reception (apart from dinner) takes place outside. The backdrop of the mansion and faces of all of their guests during the speeches and formal dances is always something I love to photograph to include their loved ones in even more photos from their day.
We ended the night under the stars and lights, as the party began in full force. So many fun dancing photos!
