Happy 2016!! Wednesday morning, I got back from a trip to New York City with some of my best friends from school and I am still exhausted but my heart is SO full. Hands down, one of the best trips I’ve been on in a long time + I am so excited to share with you guys my favorite memories and photos!
3 a.m. Sunday morning, Kacey, Maddie, Tyler, Brad and I got in the car and drove to spend 3 days in NYC exploring the city as well as seeing some shows on Broadway. We arrived Sunday around 11, checked into our hotel and went straight to Times Square. We also saw Something Rotten on Broadway and I’m pretty sure its now one of my favorite shows. So. Funny. Not to mention Christian Borle and Brian D’Arcy James both starred in it.
The next day, right when we walked out the hotel, it was freezing. We went to Dunkins, got our coffee and went to Central Park. We walked around for a bit, saw the Alice in Wonderland statue and spent the rest of the afternoon in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. That evening, Brad and I won tickets to see Kinky Boots on Broadway and I still cant believe that I got the chance to see it AND see it from BOX SEATS. Whaaaaat?! I’m not kidding when I say I could reach out my hand and touch the stage, it was Incredible.
The final day was spent in Rockefeller Center and getting the chance to see Seth Meyers rehearse his monologues. Then, to end our trip we saw our final Broadway show, School of Rock. It was phenomenal…and guys, I finally got to see Sierra Boggess perform live, it was a dream come true. She is my all time favorite actress and was SO good. Probably my favorite memory from this trip.
Spending these past few days with my friends before the semester starts up again soon was exactly what I needed. Traveling is a huge part of my life who I am and always fills my heart with happiness and gives me a little escape from reality, a short pause on life to keep me sane. I love exploring new places and meeting new people and hearing their stories. It fills my heart and is so inspiring. This is a new year, a new beginning, and what better way to begin again in the city that never sleeps. Under the city lights, I found myself again. I know this last paragraph is me being a little real and sharing a piece of my heart but you guys, I have never been better. Here’s to an INCREDIBLE 2016! xx

And here are all my iPhone pics/snapchat screenshots! Enjoy!!
