If you follow along with me on Instagram, you saw that Alex + I were originally supposed to travel to Disney before Christmas…but our airline decided to run out of planes that day. After a stressful morning sitting at the airport, we headed back home and re-booked our flight for early January. Two and a half weeks later, we woke up once again at 4am to hopefully make it to Disney this time. Not only did we make it onto the plane and departed on time, but we landed in Orlando 40 minutes early and walked into Magic Kingdom before 11:30am!!

There’s just something about walking down Main Street and seeing that first glimpse of Cinderella’s Castle that just makes me want to burst into tears of joy. Every single part of this place is magical and I always seem to fall in love with Disney even more. Not to mention escaping the cold and being in 70 degree weather during January was definitely a plus.

For spending just one day in Disney, Alex and I did a lot. We got fastpasses for Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Peter Pan’s Flight. As well as rode on Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, met my favorite princess, Rapunzel and Princess Tiana, and more! We walked around Magic Kingdom, cooled off with my favorite snack in the park; dole whip, and we even got to see the Festival of Fantasy Parade. The parades at Disney are so. cool. and definitely one of my favorite memories from that day. If you are ever at Disney, watching one of their parades is a must.

We ended the night in the most magical way possible, by watching the Wishes fireworks. This is my all time favorite part whenever I’m in Disney. I ALWAYS tear up. Standing in front of the castle, all lit up, and watching fireworks go off to music, my heart becomes so full. It’s one of those moments you wish would stay frozen in time. So so so magical.

So incredibly grateful that I got to experience this trip with my best friend by my side. I love our adventures together and I cannot wait for many more to come. Here’s to the next one! xx
